Visiting us this time; Anke Veenstra of Anke interior styling. The advice of this interior stylist from Drenthe is characterized by balance, unity and warmth.

Creativity in the DNA

"In grade 1 I already wished I would later become an interior designer like Jan des Bouvrie." After studying graphic design, she ended up in photography. Because the passion for interior design turned out to be so strong after all, a career switch took place in 2021. Now that she has completed her training at the interior design academy, you can expect some calm, warm and timeless interior advice.

Design items and thrift stores

There is a great fondness for Scandinavian and minimalist design, combined with natural colors and materials. What is indispensable here is an "eye catcher," something that stands out. This can be a designer chair, a special lamp or a cool piece of art. "I like to combine home accessories from cool brands with fun thrift store items or personal items."

A timeless and warm interior

No matter how big or small the question is, Anke is happy to help and create a calm, timeless and warm interior. During the interior question hour all questions can be discussed. Only need help with the final styling or a complete interior advice? There are several packages available. The passion comes to life in the designs, surprising customers by creating a real 'home'. Precisely the diversity of the projects is what appeals so much to Anke.

Sofas Moa and Knud

In the By SIDDE studio, Anke has styled two sofas. Both close to her own style, yet different. Sofa Moa in Mixed Clay added a lot of warmth and character through natural materials and earthy tones. In contrast, the styling of sofa Knud in Mushy Beige is slightly more modern with more contrasts. It has a calm color palette, but the different textures and materials make it more exciting.

Inspiration from everyday life

At the moment, her free hours are spent on a course in SketchUp. Using this program, realistic 3D drawings can be made, giving clients a good idea of a design. The inspiration for these proposals comes from everywhere. "Actually, inspiration is constantly there, as long as you are open to it. Especially by nature, art and architecture I get inspired."

Create tranquility in your home

The living room, the heart of the house, is the most fun room to style. It is nice to reflect the client's personality in the proposal. Looking for tranquility in your home? You create this by applying unity throughout. For this, let colors, materials and textures recur in different ways. To achieve unity, use repetition in color and materials. With muted colors that are coordinated, you create a quiet but warm atmosphere.
