A look behind the front door at @sannmaison

Welcome to the 1990s home of Sanne, Tim and daughter Nine. The family moved into this house in Arnhem about 8 years ago. Instead of moving, they recently decided to change most of the interior. And that, without a doubt, worked out well!

A mix of Japandi and vintage

The living room has undergone quite a metamorphosis. The floor and the furniture have all changed. This style is a mix of Japandi and vintage with some Scandinavian aspects. Sanne likes a minimalist but cozy interior. It should exude unity and be a serene place to unwind. "For me, a tidy house is a tidy head," she says.

Sofa: Remus in Misty Grey

Photographer of quadrupeds

After years of working as a forensic psychologist in both the Netherlands and Liberia, Sanne will continue partly independently in this in the new year. Free hours are spent on a beloved hobby: photography, with a specialization in horse and dog photography. Novice photographers can come to her for a workshop to take pictures of four-legged friends. Their own little dog Joep has been allowed to pose for the camera many times.

The rib look of Remus

In this case, an updated living room also required a different sofa. The couple found this one at By SIDDE. Why sofa Remus? The design is stylish, it has enough seating and the rib look also touches on the retro idea. "We first thought about a corner sofa, but then the idea of openness went away. Remus sits wonderfully and the hocker completes it for us."

@sannmaison

Many ideas for the living room were found on Instagram. To then be able to be an inspiration for others yourself makes it extra fun says Sanne. "We notice a lot of comments on my account and that makes us extra proud. It has also become such a nice place."

Letterbox full of memories

What stands out are the old elements such as the authentic coasters on the TV cabinet and the letter box on the wall, which is filled with souvenirs of trips made. With daughter Nine, they visited special countries such as Senegal and Thailand. Another treasured item in the house is the unique artwork above the cabinet.

Enjoy every day

The living room has now been transformed into a beautiful space. In the future, the bathroom and garden will be renewed as well. Important to Sanne is to enjoy each day and live in the moment. "Do things now and don't wait for them. This is also our mindset in life. We care a lot about experiences and making memories together."
