Scandinavian with a story
The home has a Scandinavian style with a personal touch. It is a mix of light colors, second-hand items and heirlooms with a story. Although tastes change over the years, Shirley is always looking for a fine balance. "The trick is to get rid of stuff from time to time and not just buy new stuff " she says. People recognize from a photo that it's her style and that feels like a huge compliment.

The love for interior design has always been there. "I am very visually oriented, like to look around me and see ideas in the craziest things, shapes or color combinations." These creative qualities are also reflected in her job with a furniture maker, for whom she recently designed a cabinet. This is proudly presented in the living room. She also gives interior design advice herself. 
A home where you unwind
In the previous house there was corner sofa Sommer. For this apartment Shirley returned to By SIDDE and preferred a more airy sofa. Sofa Nord in the Beach Sandy fabric immediately caught her eye. The light color blends in perfectly and creates tranquility in the home.
In Grandpa's footsteps
Typical in the home are black and white posters, mainly of movie stars such as Brigit Bardot. In addition, there is a love for wood. This is due to her grandfather. As a furniture maker, he loved working with oak and made the coffee table in the 1970s as a wedding gift for her parents. With a lick of paint over it, the table has been given new life again.
