Looking inside the dream farm of @drielingmama.julia

We travel to the middle of the Netherlands where we take a look inside Julia and Peter's remodeled farmhouse. The account name gives it away; Julia has been a proud mother of their triplets Saar, Maud and Liv for two years now.

Living in a dream farmhouse

The 1950s farmhouse is surrounded by greenery and has always been a dream for the couple. The house had been vacant for some time when Julia decided to contact the real estate agent after all. "We immediately fell in love. It looked completely different, everything was white and the window frames were green, but I immediately saw possibilities. This place is really made for us."

Sofa: Finn in Full Terra

Warmth and ambience in the house

The living room has undergone quite a transformation. The new window frames with room-high windows provide more light and openness. "I love it when a room feels warm and atmospheric." The furniture was carefully chosen, of which the terra display cabinet haunted the mind for a long time The cabinet really finishes it off and is a true eye catcher in the space. Perfect for displaying beautiful items.

Soft element sofa Finn in Full Terra

The spacious living room was quite a challenge. To make the best use of the space, the couple didn't chose for a standard set-up, but an element sofa. They fell for sofa Finn in the color Full Terra. Adding a separate element that looks into the room gives the sofa an extra dimension. While enjoying a cappuccino from her favorite mug, Julia then watches her daughters play. "The sofa really stands out nicely. I like some spice in my interior and this warm color."

Updates via @drielingmama.julia

During the triplets' pregnancy, Julia decided to open up the Instagram account to provide updates. With so many questions coming in about the pregnancy and everyone sympathizing so much, it was a fun way to keep people informed. "Every time something special comes our way," she said. For example, the horse she used to ride and had a special click with was found again and bought. In addition, of course, followers are kept up to date on all the developments during the renovation of the farm.

‘Pure happiness’

The arrival of the girls also caused a small career switch. The discovery of Shea Butter provided fine care for their own and their babies' bodies. Physical therapy was traded in for her own webshop: pure happiness store. "I think motherhood is beautiful and pure. In the webshop you will find pure products for natural skin care." Their last name "Geluk" means happiness in Dutch and was therefore a perfect addition to the brand name.

Advice from Julia

The farmhouse is beginning to look like they imagined more and more. "Lately I prefer to sit with a coffee in the chair in front of the window," says Julia. Soon in the field next to the window, their horse will stand, a dream! In the future, the stairs will be pimped and curtains will be added. Advice for buying a house? "Try to look behind the interior and keep in mind the purchase price and what you need for possible remodeling. Work step by step because it doesn't all have to be done at once and dare to ask for help. If you stay close to yourself, a lot is possible."
