How long is the delivery time?

The fastes delivery time is 2-3 weeks at the moment.

How is the sofa constructed?

Our sofas are constructed from a wooden carcass, fitted with metal nosag suspension and HR cold foam. This is a high-quality filling that becomes softer with use. Depending on the type of upholstery, the body weight and the intensity of use, the filling and suspension decreases in stiffness by 10% in the initial phase, to ultimately remain constant at 85% of the new value.

On the sofas with a fixed seat, the seat has a Bonell innerspring on top of the nosag underspring. It feels like you are sitting on a box spring.

What are folds?

Each type of fabric is different, but mostly made of polyester yarn and have a certain elasticity. In use, a fabric will give folds. That is nothing to worry about, it adds charm to the furniture. Every fabric has stretch in it, with some fabrics the stretch is greater than with others. The degree of fold formation depends on the stretch in the fabric (the more stretch, the more fold formation), the type of seating furniture (for example firmly upholstered or cover upholstered), the width of the seat / back surface (the wider, the sooner wrinkling) and the loss of stiffness of the filling.

Color fastness

The color fastness of a fabric is determined by tests on a scale from 1 to 8, where 1 stands for strong discoloration and 8 for no discoloration. Three lightfastness classes are distinguished:
4 = sufficient
5 = good
6 = very good

Every fabric will discolour over time, sunlight accelerates the process. With dark colors this is more visible than with light ones. Synthetic fibers show less discoloration than natural fibers. Therefore, never place the sofa in direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.

Guarantee

By SIDDE makes its sofa collection with great care and guarantees a long lifespan if it is maintained with care and attention. More information about the materials we use can be found at Product information.

Pilling

Pilling of the fabric is caused by loose fibers that start to felt through a rotating movement. The degree of pilling depends on the weave, the fiber length, the fiber type and the intensity of use. Fabrics with wool are more likely to pill than other fabrics. It is a phenomenon that will disappear over time. The fibers can be removed well with a lint comb or electric pill device. If a loop is pulled, never pull it out, but work it towards the wrong side of the fabric.

The degree of pilling is indicated for each bank. The rating scale runs from 5-1:
5 = no pilling
1 = very strong pilling

Guarantee on our sofas

In addition to the legal guarantee (which means that, a product must meet what the consumer can reasonably expect from it), By SIDDE provides a 5-year construction guarantee. And you get a 5-year Protexx stain warranty, which we have purchased for you from Oranje BV.

 

The construction guarantee concerns the interior of the sofa, that is the wooden construction and the suspension. By SIDDE gives this excellent guarantee because our products are of high quality. Stains covered by the Protexx guarantee: drinks, such as: coffee, tea, chocolate milk, cola, fruit juice, wine, beer and liqueur. Foods, such as: tomato sauce, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate spread, jam, ketchup, mayonnaise, curry. All excretion and excretion of humans and mammals, such as: perspiration, skin fat, blood, urine, vomit, faeces.

 

NOTE: dirt on the upholstered furniture caused by normal use and jeans stains are not covered by the warranty.

What is martindale?

Martindale is a term used to describe the durability of an upholstery fabric. For a piece of furniture in a normal household, it is recommended to keep at least 15,000 for normal use and at least 25,000 for intensive use.

Fabric crush

A fabric can crush as a result of body heat, weight and moisture. This is especially the case with chenille, cord or velor fabrics. The fibers of these types of fabrics stand upright and provide a soft appearance. In use, the fiber lies flat and a seat mirror is created that optically gives a color difference. By regularly rubbing in the direction of the pile with a soft vacuum cleaner mouth or with a soft brush, the fibers will largely return to the original direction and the optical color difference will largely disappear. The creation of a seat mirror is a characteristic of chenille and velor-like fabrics and is no reason for complaint.

Guarantee on our rugs

The warranty on a By SIDDE rug is 2 years. This is in accordance with the legal guarantee. Legal guarantee means that a product is or must do what the consumer can reasonably expect from it.

How do I keep my sofa clean?

You keep furniture beautiful and hygienic for longer by cleaning it regularly. By SIDDE advises you to apply the tips below for even more enjoyment of your furniture.

 

Avoid direct sunlight
Under the influence of sunlight, each coating discolours to a greater or lesser extent over time. Cotton fabrics are particularly sensitive to this. It is best to avoid direct sunlight on furniture as much as possible.

 

Vacuum the furniture once a week
Dust particles end up everywhere, including furniture! Dust is hard to see on furniture, which means that many people postpone maintenance. We recommend vacuuming the furniture once a week from the moment of purchase. To do this, use a nozzle with a soft brush that is only used for this purpose. Make sure the mouthpiece does not have any protrusions that could damage the fabric or leather.

 

Fabric cover
Smooth the upholstery carefully. For fabrics with a nap, always vacuum with the nap. In this way you also remove dust particles such as sand that cause wear and tear over time.

Order process

Via our shop or via our configurator on the site you can order the desired sofa with the chosen fabric and leg color via the button and place it in the shopping basket. Accessories can also be placed in the shopping cart via the product page. 

After pressing the order button you will enter My shopping cart and an overview of the ordered item (s) will be given. In this screen you can also adjust the number of ordered item (s) by means of - and + sign. If the overview is correct, then click on the “Proceed to payment” button.

You can create a By SIDDE account, if you already have an account you can log in to the existing account with your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, click on forgot password and then enter your e-mail address, you will receive instructions in your e-mail to reset your password. In this field “My details” it is also possible to adjust your order. Check if your entered details are correct and then click on "Proceed to payment"

You will now enter the field “My payment method” and you can choose a delivery time here. Our carrier works with certain routes and the delivery times are indicated 6 weeks in advance, with the first delivery option shown first at the top. For Germany, you will receive the delivery time by email.

Then choose a payment method in which way you want to fulfill the order. You can find an explanation of the indicated payment method under the heading “Payment method”.

If you have filled in everything correctly and you agree with our Terms and Conditions, you can tick the box “I agree with the terms and conditions and have checked my order and details”. Then press the pay button.

You will now be forwarded to the specified payment method and can continue this process depending on the type of payment. As soon as the payment has been made, you will receive a notification that the order has been completed and you will receive a confirmation email from us with the order and invoice within a few minutes.

How can I disconnect the sofa?

A corner sofa consists of 2 parts. The parts are upholstered on the sides. Under the recamiere / longchair are two metal hooks, and under the other part (3-seater sofa) a plastic grab, a kind of "crocodile mouth". If you want to separate the parts from each other, the recamiere / longchair part must be lifted slightly. Just a little bit. This releases the crocodile mouth from the metal profile. You can turn the crocodile beak away from under the sofa so that it is no longer visible.

 

To reconnect the parts, the 2 crocodile jaws must be straight forward. Make sure they are in the same position as the metal pins. Slide the parts together. The happers pull themselves into the pins. You will hear a clicking sound.

How do I keep my sofa clean?

When the sofa is upholstered, we spray it in a special, dust-free booth with Protexx fluid. Once the liquid has dried properly, the sofa is wrapped.

Is there an unexpected stain on your fabric furniture? By SIDDE has purchased a 5-year stain warranty for you from Oranje BV, the supplier of Protexx. This gives you a 5-year warranty on certain stains. These are described on the Protexx guarantee certificate that you will receive in your email after delivery from the bank. For more information, see Protexx Stain Guarantee.

 

Your sofa can get dirty with use. This is not covered by the stain guarantee. You keep the sofa beautiful and hygienic for longer by cleaning it regularly. By SIDDE advises you to apply the tips below for even more enjoyment from your bank.

Is it possible to order loose fabric?

It is possible to order loose fabric from us, but this is not possible via our website but only by e-mail.


The fabric can be ordered per linear meter and charges € 25.00 per linear meter excluding shipping costs of € 15.00 per order in the Netherlands, and € 20.00 for Germany and Belgium. The width of the fabric is about 140cm.


The loose material has not been treated with Protexx and we cannot offer it with treatment.
Loose fabric has no right of return.

Delivery with a moving lift

It is possible if delivery is not possible with an indoor lift or stairs to have it delivered, if the building allows it, with a moving lift via our carrier BR8.

 

Delivery via BR8:

The cost for a moving lift are € 195,00 for the Netherlands and Belgium.

 

At the start of the order, this must be reported to By SIDDE at [email protected] We ensure that our carrier is informed.

 

The indicated costs are charged to you directly by BR8. BR8 will ensure that the lift is on time and the BR8 employees will take care of the further relocation. Use of an elevator is possible up to the 8th floor.

 

For Germany and Austria, it is not possible to have a moving lift! 

Klarna

 

Pay afterwards within 14 days of receiving your order.

  • Applying for credit is not necessary. You will receive the order before you have paid. Klarna will send you payment instructions by email. In order to be able to pay via Klarna afterwards, we need your date of birth and your telephone number again in addition to the usual name and address details.

 

Pay attention! Your Klarna invoice must always be paid. The 30-day trial sitting option is separate from the payment obligation to Klarna. In case of return or cancellation, the invoice amount will be refunded to your account.

To which floor will be delivered?

Delivery is possible up to the 3rd floor, if it is easily accessible.

It is advisable to measure stair width but certainly also the height carefully before delivery or the sofa can be moved in this way by BR8, Logistik Manufaktur or Cargoe. When in doubt, always notify us before delivery. If it does not fit, there may be the possibility to schedule the delivery via a moving lift (only for the Netherlands and Belgium)

Yes that is possible. You can order a sofa, click on the lastest delivery date and send an email to [email protected] with the desired delivery week.

Bancontact

Bancontact is a payment method for customers with a Belgian account.

Is it possible to give my old sofa to the delivery company?

It is only possible in the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria to return your old sofa via our carrier against payment.

 

Delivery via BR8: 

The cost of returning your old sofa are € 34.00 per sofa part.

Calculation example: corner sofa (2 sofa parts) x € 34.00 = € 68.00 for collecting the old sofa.

 

Delivery via Cargoe: 

The cost of returning your old sofa are € 25.00 per sofa part.

Calculation example: corner sofa (2 sofa parts) x € 25.00 = € 50.00 for collecting the old sofa.

 
A registration must be made 5 days prior to delivery by e-mail [email protected] so that we can continue this to the planning of our carrier. The costs for collection must be paid directly to the drivers upon collection. Your bank will be taken along and deposited.

Delivery costs

We deliver our furniture, carpets and accessories to your home free of charge from € 50.00! Under € 50.00 we will charge € 6,95 for delivery in the Netherlands and € 9.95 for Germany, Austria and Belgium. These cost are charged via our payment system for the delivery of the order.

 

By SIDDE works with the transport partner BR8 (NL & BE), Logistik Manufaktur (DE) and Cargoe (AT), which specialize in the delivery of furniture. Assembly of the legs is included. The sofa is packed in a protective textile cover and will be delivered to the living room if it is easily accessible. After delivery, we will take the textile cover back with us for reuse.

 

The drivers always come in pairs. The room in which the sofa will be placed must be vacated. Our drivers will not move any existing furniture around the house and will take back the old furniture. Delivery takes place on the ground floor or first floor, provided that it is easily accessible.

 

If our freight forwarder comes to deliver the ordered bank and it turns out on the spot that the sofa does not fit in the house, we will check with our freight forwarder whether there are other delivery options. Provided that it is decided to take the sofa back with you and is offered again later by our carrier, costs of € 150.00 will be incurred. See also our general terms and conditions.

 

** For the "wadden eilanden" we only offer deliveries with a surcharge. That is because the transport has been outsourced to a local supplier. By SIDDE hands over the sofa at the boat to the mainland. A threshold service is offered on the islands, because we can not guarantee that the sofa was placed in the living room. Delivery takes place exclusively from Monday to Friday. The sofa is packed in a cardboard box in a plastic sleeve.

Delivery time

Each sofa is delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. As soon as you order it, we will make the sofa for you.

 

For the Netherlands and Belgium:

Depending on the region where you live, possible delivery times in our order process will be given by our furniture delivery company BR8. The state defaults to the first possible delivery time, but if you wish to receive the sofa later, it is possible to select a date up to 6 weeks in advance for delivery via our carrier BR8.

For Germany and Austria: 

Your order will be delivered free of charge within 3 weeks. As soon as you have ordered, we will put the sofa into production. Depending on the region, our shipping agent Logsitik Manufaktur (DE) or Caroge (AT) will plan the day on which the sofa will be delivered. The appointment is made one week before delivery

 

 

Can I also order with a business account?

It is possible to order products from By SIDDE for projects such as Hospitality, Healthcare, Government, Recreation or Office furnishing. This concerns multiple numbers. Contact us by email or phone. We make an inventory of your wishes and send you a quotation. Business orders for private advice are not possible.

How do I know if the sofa will fit in our home?

You will find all sizes on the product page of your favorite sofa. See + SIZE for this. These are the measurements of the sofa including legs.

For the sizes of the sofa in the package, you can click on + PACKAGING. The sofa (parts) are packed in a reusable cover. The legs of the Knud and Sommer sofas are pre-assembled. This one is 5cm high. In all other models, the leg is not pre-assembled.

 

It is very important to measure in advance whether the new sofa will fit through the door, through the hallway, into the living room. Measure every wall. Also include the height of the ceiling.

 

Distinguish between normal dimensions and the usable space that remains. Consider, for example, radiators or other small things that make the surface less useful. You need more than four inches extra to get a piece of furniture through a door, stairwell or into the elevator.

 

Do you have to turn a corner? Count on some extra space. Tips for doubters: For example, try to get through the door with a flat piece of cardboard of the right size first. Incidentally, often more fits in an elevator than you think, so check that extra carefully.

Coordinate delivery time

For the Netherlands and Belgium:

 

In the payment procedure of our webshop, it is possible to select a delivery time for placing your order. These data differ per region.

 

One working day before delivery, in the afternoon, you will receive an email from BR8 with a time slot within which the delivery will take place. A time slot covers a period of 2 hours.

 

Is your desired delivery date further in the future? Send an email to [email protected] after ordering. Please indicate your order ID and the week in which you want the sofa to be delivered. We immediately consult with our carrier BR8 on which day in the relevant week the delivery can be scheduled. We adjust this manually and notify you by email.

 

For Germany and Austria:

It is possible to set a desired delivery date.

In this case, please send us an email with the desired delivery week to [email protected] and we will contact you to make an appointment.

Not at home at delivery time

In the unlikely event that no one is present during delivery and the drivers of BR8/Logistik Manufaktur/Cargoe have also tried to reach you by telephone, the sofa will return to the warehouse. It is possible to schedule a new delivery through us, the cost of relisting is € 150.

If tools have to be used to move into the sofa, such as temporarily removing a window by the glazier, or hiring a moving lift, these costs are for your account. Our transport partner BR8 can schedule a moving lift if registered on time.

Delivery of rugs, side tables and accessories

All orders for By SIDDE rugs, side tables and other accessories are sent via the GLS parcel service. After you have ordered and we have processed the order, you will receive a Track & Trace code by email with which you can track the shipment as soon as it is handed over from our warehouse. If you are not at home, you will receive a notification by email with a new delivery date. In most cases the next working day.


Have you ordered a rug, side table or other accessory in combination with a sofa? These are then delivered together via our carrier.

Right of return

Unsatisfied? The article can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of receipt of the sofa or accessory. The sofa will then be picked up by our forwarding carrier (if additional accessories are also sent back, these can be taken by our carrier.) If only accessories are returned or exchanged, these can be picked up by GLS or there is the option of sending them yourself a GLS post office nearby.

 

In any case, this can be communicated to us by email within the reflection period of 30 days. A return form can also be filled in for this notification. After a check when the item is returned and if it is in undamaged condition, you will receive a credit invoice and the amount you paid will be refunded to your account number. If the item is damaged, this depreciation will be deducted from the credit bill.

 

For a possible second exchange, € 250 will be charged, the first exchange is free of charge.

 

If our freight forwarder comes to deliver the sofa that has been ordered and it turns out on the spot that the sofa does not fit into the house, we will check with our freight forwarder whether there are other delivery options. What does the Protexx guarantee include?

The fabrics on the By SIDDE sofas are Protexx treated. Protexx is a water-based liquid. As soon as the sofa is upholstered, it is injected with this protector. It protects the sofa against the most common types of dirt and stains. It is a dirt-repellent impregnation. Due to the treatment, spilled liquid does not immediately penetrate into the core of the fabric fiber. We have purchased this guarantee for you from Oranje BV. Orange provides the stain guarantee.

 

If there is a stain in the fabric, remove the solids as much as possible with a tablespoon. Never use a knife or anything sharp. Blot any spilled liquid with a clean white cloth or tissue (be careful: printed kitchen paper can run off). Then lightly dampen a white cotton cloth and place it on the stain. The dirt pulls up into the cloth. Let the cloth dry. Rinse the cloth repeatedly and continue as long as the cloth is still absorbing color from the spilled liquid. Repeat this process until the stain is gone. Most spills have a color of their own so that you can see from the white cloth used if there is still release from the spilled. Use cold water for blood or fruit stains and warm water for other stains. (For further explanation, see the Protexx warranty) 

 

NOTE: Never scrub the stain! If you cannot remove the stain yourself, call the service center T. 0031 (0) 55 357 5411. The service center will advise you on how to remove the stain. If that does not work, a product will be sent or an appointment will be made to remove the stain at your home. The stain must be reported within 3 working days after it has arisen. You can quickly submit a service request via www.oranjeservicecloud.com.

Help me! I have a stain on my sofa

If you are unable to get the stain out, Orange will send you a product that should be able to do this or an appointment will be made to remove the stain at your home. The stain must be reported within 3 working days of its appearance.

Free Protexx?

We want you to enjoy your sofa for a long time. You can extend the lifespan by regularly maintaining your sofa, but also by the Protexx treatment. A surcharge of € 40 to € 50 is charged per seat in the regular shops. So for a 3-seater sofa that is € 150. And for a corner sofa € 300, which is in addition to the price of the sofa.

 

You pay nothing more at By SIDDE. The price you see is the price including Protexx.


Firma Oranje BV provides the Protexx guarantee. It's some kind of insurance. We buy the warranty for you and if stains occur you can contact Oranje BV to discuss how it can be resolved. Make sure you have the certificate to hand. The certificate describes the conditions to be able to claim the stain guarantee.

Are ink stains covered by the Protexx-guarantee?

No, an ink stain is not covered by the warranty. But you can always call the employees of the Orange service desk. T 0031 (0) 55 357 5411

Oranje is an expert in the field of stains and can advise you on how to deal with these stains. There is a remedy for ink stains that you can purchase for a fee.

Prices

All prices mentioned on our website www.bysidde.com are shown including 21% VAT (NL and BE), 19% (DE) and 20% (AT). After placing your order, you will receive a digital VAT invoice for your administration.

 

The prices indicated on the website include free delivery within the Netherlands & Belgium from a minimum order amount of € 50.00. For orders under € 50.00, shipping costs of € 6.95 for the Netherlands, € 13,50 for Austira and € 9.95 for Belgium and Germany will be charged. There is also a right of return on all our items within 30 days without additional costs. For more information, see our Delivery and Returns.

 

We may have to change our selling prices in the meantime due to changing purchasing prices on the world market in raw materials, which have an effect on the final cost price. For example, a higher oil price has an effect on the purchase of our cold foam, polyester yarn and the transport costs. We try to keep this to a minimum. If a price has to be adjusted after you have closed and paid for the sale, but it has not yet been delivered, the difference between the old and new price cannot be calculated.

How can I request fabric swatches?

We have put together a sample kit for each model. This contains all the colors in which the sofa can be upholstered. The fabrics are not interchangeable on other models. The samples can be ordered free of charge, maximum 2 kits per address.

 

The package will be sent home within 3-5 working days with PostNL, which fits through the letterbox. We work with GLS parcel service for Belgium and Deutsche Post for Germany. The sample kit is offered personally.

How can I report a complain?

Our By SIDDE team does its utmost to make your order in our factory with great care and deliver it to you satisfactorily. In the unlikely event that something is not right with the product or service provided by us, we are happy to help you as follows.

 

Send an email to [email protected] with a description of your complaint with clear photos. You will receive a written substantive response (email) from our service team within 3 working days. A complaint can relate to the delivered product or the service.

 

In the event of a well-founded complaint, By SIDDE proposes how to resolve it. The solution will be performed within 4 weeks.

 

If you are not satisfied with the solution provided, you can also submit your complaint to the Disputes Committee via the European ODR Platform.

Where can I see the sofa?

By SIDDE is an online concept. We do not work with intermediaries or shops. We understand that it can be quite exciting to order a sofa without having been in it. We have therefore come up with something for that. You can try the sofa at home for 30 days. And does he not like it? Then we will pick up the bank from you free of charge and you will receive the money back.

 

You can request a free fabric sample kit from your favorite sofa. This way you can view the colors at home, in your daylight.

How can I return my sofa?

Right of withdrawal and returns
Are you not satisfied? It is possible to withdraw from your bank within 30 days of receipt.

 

1. Withdrawal period
You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 30 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 30 days after the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, takes physical possession of the good. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us by means of an unambiguous statement (for example in writing, by post, fax or e-mail) that you are withdrawing from the contract. You can use the model withdrawal form for this, but you are not obliged to do so. To meet the withdrawal period, it is sufficient to send the communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

 

2. Consequences of the withdrawal
If you cancel the agreement, you will receive back from us all payments that you have made up to that point, without delay and in any case no later than 14 days after we have been informed of your decision to cancel the agreement. We will pay you back with the same payment method with which you made the original transaction, unless you have explicitly agreed otherwise; in any case, you will not be charged for such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have demonstrated that you have returned the goods, whichever comes first.


Within the Netherlands & Belgium there are no costs associated with returning all our offered sofas and other items, if you use the return procedure below.

 

Do you want to return the sofa for an exchange to a different size, color or model? The 1st exchange is free of charge. In the unlikely event that you exchange the bank a second time within the period of 30 days, the costs for this second exchange will be € 250.00.

 

3. Term of return - Banken By SIDDE
You must make an appointment for the goods to be collected by our transport partner BR8 immediately, but in any case no later than 30 days after the day on which you have notified us of your decision to withdraw from the agreement. You are on time if you return the sofa before the 30-day period has expired.

 

A sofa that is returned to us must be provided with a copy of your proof of purchase (for example the invoice) and a return form filled in as completely as possible or another unambiguous statement showing your wish to cancel.

We will then contact our transport partner with the instruction to collect the sofa back, we will pass on the details, and a request to contact you to schedule a day. Our carrier ensures that the sofa is packed in a furniture cover. You are only liable for the depreciation of the goods resulting from the use of the goods, which goes beyond what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

 

Upon return to our warehouse, the sofa is assessed and determined whether the full amount or an amount with deduction of depreciation will be refunded to you. You will be informed of this by email. You will receive the amount a maximum of 14 days after the cancellation notification has been received. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the sofa back, or you have demonstrated that you have returned the sofa, whichever is the earliest.

Are jeans stains also covered by the warranty?

No, unfortunately, the deposition of blue jeans on the fabric is not covered by the warranty. Jeans are made with white yarn and get their color from a blue dye bath. This blue paint can transfer to the fabric. To remove the paint from the fabric, an aggressive agent is needed that will damage the fabric. This is why the stains of jeans are not covered by the warranty.

Can I extend the Protexx-guarantee after 5 years?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to extend it again by 5 years after the 5-year Protexx warranty.

Can I have the sofa completely cleaned?

By SIDDE cannot clean the sofa for you. But the provider of the Protexx stain guarantee, Oranje BV, can do this for you. For By SIDDE customers, Oranje gives a 50% discount on a general cleaning. Normally this costs 240 euros, but if you are in possession of a Protexx certificate in the warranty period (within 5 years after purchase), this will cost 120 euros including call-out costs.

 

Oranje cleans your sofa in such a way that the Protexx protection remains intact. PLEASE NOTE, do you have the sofa cleaned by another company? Chemical cleaning or cleaning under high temperatures DOES affect the Protexx protective layer.

How can I return accessories?

You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately, but in any case no later than 30 days after the day on which you have notified us of your decision to withdraw from the agreement. You are on time if you send back the goods before the 30-day period has expired.

 

Rugs, coffee tables and cushions that are returned to us must, if possible, be provided with the original, undamaged packaging together with a copy of your proof of purchase (for example the invoice) and a return form that is completed as completely as possible or another unambiguous statement showing your wish to cancel.

What are the costs for a return?

It is possible to dissolve the agreement with regard to the purchase of a product during a cooling-off period of 30 days without giving reasons. There are no costs associated with the return of one of our sofas, rugs, coffee tables and other items if you follow the procedure described in Returns on our website.

 

In all cases, this can be indicated to us by e-mail within the reflection period of 30 days. A return form can also be completed for this notification. After a check upon return of the item, and provided it is in an undamaged condition, you will receive a credit invoice and the amount paid by you will be refunded to your account number. If the item is damaged, this depreciation will be settled on the credit invoice.

 

For exchange to another color, size or model within 30 days: the 1st exchange is free of charge. For a possible 2nd exchange within the 30 day period, € 250.00 costs will be charged.

 

If our carrier comes to deliver the ordered sofa and it appears on the spot that the bank does not fit in the home, then it will be examined in consultation with our carrier whether there may be other options for delivery. Provided it is decided to take the bank with you again and will be offered again later by our carrier, then there are costs involved, these amounts are € 150.00. Can I choose a different fabric for the sofa?

By SIDDE has consciously chosen to choose 1 fabric per model. It is not possible to choose a fabric that belongs to another sofa. You can choose from different colors per model.

 

We only make the sofa when you order it and deliver for free within 2-4 weeks. By keeping the production process simple, we can produce quickly at competitive prices.

Can I order the sofa in a different size?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to order a different size sofa than the models and corresponding sizes that we have described in our shop. Customization within our concept is therefore not possible.

Can I order an interior kit for professionals?

Are you a professional stylist and do you make interior plans? Then request the free By SIDDE interior kit for professionals. It contains all fabric samples from the entire collection. To receive this you can send an email to [email protected] with your company details and Chamber of Commerce number.

It is possible to change the billing address to a business address?

It is possible to change the billing address to a business address. This is not possible in the order module. Send an email after the order with the order ID number and the details of the company to which the invoice must be placed. We adjust this manually.

Can I sell By SIDDE products in my shop?

By SIDDE is an online concept. We make the sofa to order as soon as the consumer orders it and deliver it free of charge at home within 2 to 3 weeks. We give the price advantage of direct delivery from the factory directly back to the consumer because we do not have the intervention of wholesalers or shops. A dealership is therefore not possible.

Ist it possible to change the leg of my sofa?

It is not possible to provide another leg under the sofa. You can also replace the leg yourself for a higher or lower version. For example on the site www.meubelpootjes.nl various legs are for sale.

 

Higher or lower legs do have consequences for the seating comfort. The combination of the seat height and seat depth in centimeters together determine the comfort. If the leg height becomes much higher or lower, then the ratio is gone.

Kan ik de hoezen van de bank wassen?

Door onze vlekgarantie van 5 jaar met Protexx zijn de hoezen niet wasbaar. De stof is vooraf behandeld met een vuilafstotende impregnering, hierdoor is de stof beschermd tegen de meest voorkomende vlekken.

Can I pay in instalments?

 

‘Pay in 3 instalments’ is an alternative to traditional credit but without any interest, which allows you to split purchases into 3 payments. These payments will be automatically withdrawn from the debit/credit card you have on file with us every 30 days until the full order amount has been paid. In our app, you’ll also have the option to pay off a single instalment or even the entire balance earlier if preferred. However, at this time it’s not possible to change the scheduled payment date to a later date.

 

 

If your order is eligible for ‘Pay in 3 instalments’, you can select the option "SLICE IT" in the checkout and enter your debit or credit card information. When you attempt to place an order using our Pay in 3 payment method an authorisation hold is placed on the card you have connected in the Klarna App, to reserve the funds for the first instalment.

 


As soon as the store ships your order, you will receive an email from Klarna outlining your payment schedule and the first payment will be taken from the reserved amount on your credit/debit card. Your purchase and payments will then be visible and manageable in your Klarna App. So make sure to download the Klarna App to stay in full control and never miss a payment!

De Wallet kent alle details en voorkeuren van de verschillende kaarten. De betaling wordt voltooid met een scan van de vingerafdruk of gezicht. Hiermee voldoet Apple Pay aan de Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regelgeving uit de Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2).

Ons systeem detecteert automatisch of je betaalt vanaf een Apple device. Alleen dan wordt Apple Pay getoond als betaalmethode. Na het selecteren van Apple Pay als betaalmethode wordt de betaling voltooid met de Touch ID of Face ID.

Hoe is de elementenbank Liv opgebouwd?

Eco sofa Liv is de eerste recyclebare bank uit de collectie van By SIDDE. Het hout dat gebruikt wordt in de constructie van de bank is vrij van schadelijke stoffen zoals formaldehyde en is afkomstig uit een duurzaam beheerd bos.

 

Het houten karkas is voorzien van een metalen nosag ondervering, met daarop een bonell binnenvering. Een polyester breisel met een 3D-structuur laag, gecombineerd met een natuurlijke cocosmat, zorgt voor een fijn, stevig zitcomfort die jaren mee gaat. 

 

De stoffering zorgt niet alleen voor de look & feel, maar ook voor een meubel die door de jaren heen mooi blijft. In het gebruik zal er ruimte in de stof ontstaan waardoor lichte plooivorming kan ontstaan, dit is normaal.

Welke sets en elementen kan ik bestellen van de Liv?

By SIDDE heeft 4 sets voor je samengesteld, passend bij de grootte van je woonkamer. Door een los element, zoals een hocker, toe te voegen aan een set kun je eindeloos mixen en matchen.

 

Hoe kan ik de elementen loskoppelen?

De verschillende sets bestaan uit losse elementen. De elementen zijn aan de zijkanten doorgestoffeerd tot de grond.

 

Als je de elementen wilt ontkoppelen dan til je het element met de metalen clip op. De metalen connectoren die onder het andere element zitten kun je onder het element terug daaien.

 

Om de elementen weer te koppelen, moeten de 2 krokodillenbekken recht naar voren staan. Zorg dat ze in dezelfde positie staan als de metalen pinnen. Schuif de delen tegen elkaar. De happers trekken zich vast in de pinnen. Je hoort een klik geluid.

 

Voor verdere uitleg over koppelen en ontkoppelen van de elementen van de Liv raadpleeg hiervoor de handleiding. In deze handleiding staat het per set uitgelegd.

Kan ik de elementen van een set in verschillende kleuren bestellen?

Het is helaas niet mogelijk om meerdere stofkleuren te kiezen in één set. Indien dit gewenst is kun je verschillende sets bestellen via onze website. Per set kun je een stofkleur kiezen.

 

Wij maken de bank pas als jij hem bestelt en leveren gratis binnen 3 weken. Door het productieproces eenvoudig te houden kunnen we snel produceren tegen scherpe prijzen. 

Is het mogelijk de elementen in een andere maat te bestellen?

Het is helaas niet mogelijk om een andere maat bank te bestellen dan de modellen en bijbehorende maatvoeringen die we hebben beschreven in onze shop. Maatwerk binnen ons concept is dan ook niet mogelijk.

Wat is recycling, upcycling, downcycling en circulariteit?

Als het gaat over duurzaamheid worden er veel verschillende termen gebruikt. Hieronder leggen we de verschillende termen voor je op een eenvoudige manier uit.

 

Recycling wordt vaak gebruikt als algemene term voor het hergebruiken van materialen of grondstoffen. Indien de waarde van het eindproduct min of meer gelijk blijft, is er sprake van recycling. Upcycling is een vorm van recycling waarbij van een laagwaardig materiaal iets hoogwaardigs wordt gemaakt. Downcycling is een vorm van recycling waarbij het materiaal nog enkele keren gebruikt kan worden in laagwaardige producten. De grondstof kan niet in de zelfde kwaliteit worden hergebruikt.

 

 

Wanneer een materiaal of grondstof eindeloos opnieuw kan worden hergebruikt noemen we het circulariteit. Circulariteit is de hoogste vorm van recycling. Keer op keer kunnen de materialen op hetzelfde kwalitatief hoogwaardige niveau gerecycled worden. Bij circulariteit blijft de cirkel gesloten, er is geen sprake van afval.

Wat betekent FSC® en PEFC™ gecertificeerd?

FSC is een internationale organisatie die zich in zet voor verandwoord bosbeheer wereldwijd. Dit betekend dat er op evenwichtige wijze rekening gehouden wordt met sociale, economische en ecologische aspecten die bij bosbeheer horen. Het is afkomstig van Forest Stewardshop Council. 

 

PEFC staat voor Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification en heeft hetzelfde doel als FSC. De verschillen tussen de keurmerken hebben met name te maken met de manier waarop de certificatie is geregeld. FSC stelt eigen standaarden op, waarbij de boseigenaar die wil worden gecertificeerd moet aantonen hieraan te voldoen. PEFC haakt als startpunt aan bij de bestaande wet- en regelgeving, aangevuld met criteria en normen voor duurzaam bosbeheer. Het belangrijkste is dat beide keurmerken zich inzetten voor verantwoord bosbeheer. Daarnaast zorgen ze ervoor dat de oppervlakte gecertificeerd bos wereldwijd wordt vergroot. 

 

Wat is formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde is een kleurloos gas met een prikkelende geur. Formaldehyde zit onder andere in spaanplaat, MDF, triplex en multiplex. Bij een hoge temperatuur en een hoge luchtvochtigheid komt er meer gas vrij. Formaldehyde kan vrijkomen uit producten en in de lucht terechtkomen. Het kan dan schadelijk zijn voor je gezondheid als je het inademt. Als er niet genoeg wordt geventileerd in de woning blijft formaldehyde lager in de woning hangen.

 

Het gebruik van plaatmateriaal zonder formaldehyde is beter voor mens en milieu. Het plaatmateriaal dat gebruikt wordt in Liv is verlijmd met een biologische lijm en beval 0% formaldehyde. 

Wat is harmolan?

Stof Vide is gemaakt van 100% harmolan. Harmolan is een restproduct polymeer dat tot garens wordt gespannen. Harmolan kan tot 10 keer gerecycled worden.

Met een gemiddelde levenscyclus van 100 jaar, is het de meest duurzame vezel die door de mens is gemaakt.

 

Voor de productie van harmolanvezels is geen water nodig. Daarnaast nemen de weefsels geen water op en zijn ze vuilafstotend en sneldrogend, waardoor de stof gemakkelijk te reinigen is.

5 jaar vlekkengarantie

De stof Vide van sofa Liv is gemaakt van 100% harmolan. De harmolanweefsels nemen geen water op en zijn vuilafstotend en sneldrogend, waardoor de stof gemakkelijk te reinigen is. 

 

Op de sofa Liv bieden we 5 jaar Protexx vlekkengarantie aan. De stof zelf is daarentegen niet Protexx behandeld, omdat de harmolanweefsels van zichzelf al vuilafstotend is. Om deze reden is een behandeling niet nodig om tot hetzelfde resultaat te komen. 

 

Zodra je een vlek hebt op je Liv verwijder je eerst het overtollige vuil of vloeistof met keukenpapier. Maak vervolgens een witte katoenen doek licht vochtig en leg deze op de vlek. Het vuil trekt naar boven in de doek. Laat de doek opdrogen. Spoel de doek daarna uit en ga door zolang de doek nog kleur opneemt van de gemorste vloeistof. Herhaal dit proces to de vlek verdwenen is. De meeste gemorste zaken hebben een kleur van zichzelf zodat je aan de gebruikte witte doek kunt zien of er nog afgifte van het gemorste is. Gebruik koud water bij bloed- of fruitvlekken en warm water bij andere vlekken. 

In welk verpakkingsmateriaal worden de elementen geleverd?

De verschillende elementen worden geleverd in herbruikbare textiele meubelhoezen. Deze gebruiken we keer op keer voor de leveringen van de Eco sofa Liv. Door deze textiele meubelhoezen is er geen sprake van verpakkingsmateriaal dat eenmalig gebruikt wordt.

Afscheid nemen van mijn sofa Liv, wat moet ik nu doen?

In het ontwerp van Liv is bewust nagedacht over het recycleproces. Wanneer je toch afscheid wil nemen van je By SIDDE elementenbank Liv is het mogelijk om deze in te leveren bij ons recycledepot. Neem contact met ons op voor meer informatie.
